Our Story
Blessings...
Over the last 8/10 years,
"A Sacred Memory" has gathered our innovative
and healing ideas to bring forward new heart gifts of today and tomorrow.
We wanted to develop the type of gifts one doesn't’t
toss in a few years. Gifts that can be passed down or given to our closest
relationships. Our first two products were inspired/created because we’ve
noticed things needed to change in our world and felt through these treasures
we could help make the necessary shifts, one person at a time.
"A Sacred Memory"
has also realized we’ve been a society
stifled and people were/are guarded to write their thoughts and feelings. Lots
of times there’s a frightened or puzzled look of resistance when
many are asked to write anything significant. "A Sacred Memory" felt
it was time to help massage those stuck in fear by creating a new line of
products focused in that direction.
"A Sacred Memory"
folio for women and "A Life Celebration" folio for both men and
women were the first signature heart gifts that encourage group participation.
It seems people have more fortitude in
groups and many more people often participate. Feelings, words and sentiments
begin to flow from group participation. Our folios are milestone event books.
One takes this gift to a gathering/party and invites everyone to contribute.
It is a book which covers every aspect of the milestone. Our company has
taken the time to develop detailed instructions guiding and nurturing all the
way.
Our "Life
Celebration" has also been purchased for an individual’s transition.
Our view of the death process in America is changing by
leaps and bounds. People are beginning to gather before a loved one gets too
ill to say their last goodbyes. This folio, the first of it’s kind- has been
a healing tool for all involved. The completed folio is gifted to the ill
person and they in turn have a place to write their thoughts, feelings and
legacy to leave to their loved ones.
"A Sacred Memory"
was the first on the block to create these sorts of all-embracing books and
now we see others have followed "a
bit" of our lead. We still offer the best value of any book on the market
as well as the beauty of the contents. We would love
to partner with other companies, as this is a wonderful way to work together
in a community effort to help the world on various positive
levels.
BTW, we want to bring the memory folios to
the next level and would like to partner with others of the highest
intentions as these treasures are unbelievable healing and nurturing
gifts. They need a community behind them! It's really time for this to
occur- and so, I put this intention out to the Universe to make this happen!

Our second heart gift was
inspired during a series of creative months
when I was needing to stay close to home while my son was very ill. Many
months in seclusion and quiet facilitated our greeting card line come to
fruition. Funny, many years ago, I was in a Hallmark store looking for a card
and was very frustrated with the selections. Walking out of that store, I
blurted out to the clerk, "in 10 years time, I will create my own
greeting card line." She looked at me in disbelief and I looked within
me-- saying to myself, "Why did I say that? I could never or do I want to
attempt such a feat as this." I was
not happy with myself for a few days, feeling this could never happen and this
was an untruth. Little did I know what would unfold as the years sped along.
As "A Sacred Memory"
explored the market we noticed sentiment-generated cards have
been the best sellers at about 80% of the market. The blank card market
carries the rest at about 20%. The market will change in this new era. With
this and more in mind, "A Sacred Memory" thought it was time to be a
part of the exciting new era to help people begin to share their own thoughts,
feelings and sentiments, not the card makers.
We wanted to go a step further
to change the name, "greeting card." We came up with, "mini
folios", to bring this product to another level. Our "mini
folios" are the first generation of their kind. Most greeting cards of
today, except ours, use the backside for
advertisement purposes, a bio of the artist
work or info about the artwork. We took a different lead and thought to use
the backside by massaging the purchaser’s heart so that he/she can write his
or her own thoughts, feelings and sentiments. Once more, we've
realized that group support has been a great catalyst for various reasons, and
so, we encourage group/community support. " A Sacred Memory" has
also noticed there isn’t a lot of cards
out there with comfortable space for those groups and for those wanting to
express more.
We offer a family series,
memory series and healing series. We’re very excited about all of our minis,
but because healing is part of our passion, our healing series
is an awesome new product idea to help the giver, receiver and anyone
else welcomed to read the completed card. It’s truly a wonderful domino
effect with a possible threefold outcome. And such a welcomed gift when we
receive the stories that emerge from these minis.
In the U.S.A. we have
76 mil baby boomers aging. Many of the
boomer women don’t have the writing fears
most boomer men have had but this is
changing too. We’re a generation that grew up with family, community and have
many memories tucked away from our
childhood but many not written, as writing was not
encouraged or popular. Over the years, as a
society, we’ve lost a sense of family, community as career jumped in the
forefront of what was most important among too countless. We moved away from
our families and many of our children have been raised without these
roots. We’ve finally taken the time to stop to look at all the changes and
us boomers are starting to wake up to help
create the necessary shifts.
Why have
genealogy sites grown tremendously over the last ten years? Why is the
self-help industry still a billion $ strong and growing?
Holistic centers, grocery stores selling more organic, the green industry
sprouting in every direction. Meditation, Yoga and healthier
lifestyle is more and more common. We continue to want change and
plenty is on the horizon. We want closer, more meaningful relationships and
NOW we’re willing to spend time, work and pay for it. Through these mediums,
shifts are appearing everywhere. The dating sites are still popular with
people wanting a soul connection and are reaching out in this
direction as well. Programs like "Dr. Phil" are now on
mainstream television and are covering lots of sensitive issues. I'm in awe of
those coming forward to bring out their stuff, especially those on the
receiving end. What courage they have, to stand in the middle of the fire, in
front of millions not only to heal their lives’ issues, but to share them
with others! If it helps one other, it will eventually help two others and
on... The boomer generation was taught by our families to be
secretive about our issues, to place these sorts of things under that old
dusty outdated rug, and that proceeding otherwise would be a disgrace to the
family name. Our families had no healthy solutions. We all know now if we
don't deal/work/resolve, it will keep coming in our face espy in
these evolving times.
Changes are occurring
everywhere and it’s time! The environment
is calling to us as weather continues to flexuate and
warn us to shift our attitudes and habits as the effects are
piling up and out to greater issues. It has been stated over and over,
the next 7 generations will be effected dramatically, if we don't begin to
make the changes necessary.
As lots of less important
things slip away in this new era, yet again, creating healthier relationships
will be a focus. We will be taking more time, exploring, studying, and
shifting our attention to family, friends, work/ community/, and spirituality.
Creating memories will continue to be important and writing our
stories for the next generation. We will spend more quality time with our
family, children and friends. The next two generations, which are part of
the Indigo population of older souls, have
a big plan to help shift the world. The work environment will make important
shifts as well- as the old mindset in
business will not work anymore. We’re seeing shake-ups in corporations and
will trickle down. Do what you love and the abundance will appear.
The travel industry will
continue to boom in the coming years as it will be more affordable to
travel and themed vacations catering to all
lifestyles will continue to be attractive
as blocks of time are needed to help create bonding. From religious,
spiritual, children oriented, sporting, singles, work related, you name it, it
will be available and more people interested in traveling.
Our newest addition to the
line is "Sacred Journey Bead Circlets."
These heart gifts were birthed when I was led to a small spiritual community
in Brazil to retreat and experience a well-known Brazilian healer. Little did
I realize this experience has and will continue to change my life. Others will
experience the benefits of this blessing. These universal, spiritual
and healing tokens are imported from Brazil, a country rich in mineral
abundance and one of the spiritual and heart center of the world. " Sacred
Journey Bead Circlets" are
truly an inspiration for anyone in the depths adversity and also can
be gifted to those celebrating victories. Minerals have been used in
healing for thousands of years. Every ancient culture imaginable has incorporated
these natural healing stones in their lives. Just in the bible alone, crystals
have been mentioned over 200 times. We encourage
people to eventually give SJBs away in an
inspired moment. These heart gifts not only help keep the spirit of support
and love alive, they also inspire others to keep moving the beads to others so
they won’t sit in drawers, on shelves, or be forgotten.
As we venture forth in this
new era, we will see more and more healing miracles. Minerals will become more
of the focus in healing. We’re thrilled to be the presenters of this sacred keepsake,
another heart gift to facilitate positive
shifts, one person at a time.
