The Ancient –AMEN

Holy and Sacred Amen! Has anyone wondered where this ancient word came from? What does AMEN mean and why do we use it faithfully in our prayers and hymns? It’s my humble guess, most everyone with any sort of religious or spiritual background would not know the meaning or history behind the ancient AMEN. I would also presume, many would shrug their shoulders, puzzled and question, but would be quite curious to know more. If one were asked WHY such a word came into many of our sacred texts, most wouldn’t know. So, the next logical question would be, why do we use this word religiously after a prayer or hymn? Again, I would bet the majority would say it’s customary. Is it only customary? Or, do we inherently know the sacred power of the blessed intention of Amen?

Exploring ancient history

Let’s begin the exploration of a part of history, some say the name of AMEN came from the ancients, dating way back to the 11th century. Thousands of years ago, in Egypt, there was a well known and powerful divine being, Ammon (also known as AMON, AMANA, AMMON, HAMMON, AMEN and Kematef) of the 11th dynasty. The 11th dynasty sprang from a family in the Hermonthite heritage and adorned the earliest known temple of Karnik, in Thebes, Egypt with statues of those they revered. Ammon replaced the war god, Montu. Ammon was eventually known as Amon- Re, king of the Gods. In fact, it has been written, Egypt was very influential and recognized in the world, thus Ammon became a universal symbol. Several Theban Kings later adopted the same name, Ammon and up to the 17th dynasty, Ammon was the god of the royal city in Thebes. Pharaohs lavished their wealth on Ammon’s temples. By the 25th Dynasty, Amun-Re was the chief god of the Nubian Kingdom of Napata. And, by the Ptolemic, or Greek period, he was regarded as the Egyptian equivalent of Zeus. He’s actually mentioned in the pyramid text from the Old Kingdom (5th Dynasty, Unas - line 558), which show him to be a primeval deity and a symbol of creative force. This document seems to give him antiquity to his existence.

Questions to ponder…

What did the ancient Egyptians innately know way back when? Why are statue symbols still a big part of our world’s religious systems today? Also, confusingly, why are people inclined to accept their own religious statues and not the ancients? What do our ancient cultures like the Native Americans, Mayans, Aborigines and one of the earliest people, the Egyptians, know that many today discount- because they’ve let restrictive views block their way? When we look at some religions that have taught to judge and forbid their followers to explore to the world’s oldest teachings, what are they truly saying? There’s a history so rich in tradition, those who discount, perhaps are not as evolved to truly explore the entire picture. So much has been kept away from us and in these new times, things buried will eventually come to the surface.

Ammon

Ammon was figured in a human form wearing two plumes of a hawk. He was symbolized as a god of fertility, shown as a ram or ram-headed man, sometimes wearing a sun disc. A primordial Egyptian creation God, a member of the Ogdoad which were eight deities worshipped in Hermopolis. They were arranged in four male/female pairs: Nu/Naunet, Amun/Amaunet, Kuk/Kauket, Huh/Hauhet. They created the mound of dirt (Mehturt) from which Ra was born. He was part of the Theban Triad, along with Mut and Khonsu which was in the time of the Middle Kingdom. The three gods are Amun, his companion, Mut, and their divine child, Khonsu. Mut was depicted first with the head of a vulture and then as a woman with a crown. Khonsu, a moon god, is seen as a youth with a side lock of hair and a crown consisting of a crescent moon and lunar disk. Ammon is also sometimes shown with the head of a hawk adorned with a crescent moon and lunar disk. He was also worshipped by the Greeks as a variation of Zeus. This paragraph shows of what nature meant to our ancients way back when. I was more interested in the symbols to understand how it fits. For example, if we take the hawk or ram and research the meaning, look how these beings fit into many cultures history, one wants additional info to understand more. Reading the meanings of the hawk and ram in my Native American animal book, it all fits the growing puzzle. Names have meaning, even today, many parents search for symbolic names for their unborn child. Look at ram. It has ra and ma in the name. Some will say, so what? But it all is part of the puzzle. Even numbers mean something. Moving forward in time, 3, very strong in many religious teachings. I feel, lots of the ancient information discovered is diluted, some placed in parables and symbols for reasons.

Symbology of the ancients AND SACRED AFFIRMATION

Why did Ammon wear animal symbols? Hawk feathers? In many ancient cultures feathers still a prominent symbol. Hawk feathers-- messenger, intensified life force, vision. A hawk is akin to the planet Mercury, two means dreams, law of balance and harmony. Curious, why were the deities paired up as male and female? Part of the balance the ancients felt important? The figure of the ram with the full spiral curls horns-- great force and power, new beginnings, representation of creativity for the horns and the ram is related to Aries which was the era of Ammon, was influential time. I believe, the horns signifies a desire for attention---listen and pay attention. Ammon, usually associated with the wind or setting sun, or things (information?) hidden, and was also powerful in the Golden Age of that time.

Ancient words/names in Egypt were very mystical and powerful. Ammon was one such name.

Egyptian history is a part of the puzzle as many know and are now reaching further for answers, in this new time of great change. The curiosity and pieces continue to unfold. Egyptian symbols are still used in our American currency and in the ancient societies like the FreeMasons and the Rosicrucian’s. Why did these ancient societies incorporate symbology and why do we still use these symbols? What do these groups know and we seem to ignore or criticize? Why haven’t we changed our American currency (filled with symbols) to fit our religious belief structures of today? And those who gravitate to the disconnection of criticism, why continue to use the currency if it depicts ancient symbols? Does using U.S. currency affirm something? If we could go into the minds of our founding fathers, what would they feel about affirmation? Did they know the power of affirmation; symbology and they knew that every single human would need to use this currency? View the symbols on these notes and explore the ancient meanings, look how many times 13 is symbolized, and notice daily many of the symbols have been carried forward.

Amen’s essence an alchemy vibration

On this search for the deeper meaning of AMEN, I was led to King Solomans Temple and Hiram Abif. (or Abif) Abif, in one account, was the master mason who built King Solomon’s temple in 988 B.C. It has been also noted that Hiram Abif was King Hiram of Tyre. A HUGE BELL went off in my head at this exciting point. The Bible states that King Hiram of Tyre sent building materials and men to build King Solomon’s Temple. (see Samuel in the Bible…) As the story goes, Hiram Abif was confronted by 3 men in King Solomon’s Temple, at one point, because he held secrets and these men wanted him to reveal the ancient and guarded secrets. Secrets? This is now beginning to feel like a treasure hunt. Hiram Abif told the men, the only way he would share the secrets, if two others who also knew these deeply held secrets were present. The two others were, King Solomon and HramThe King of Tyre. If Hiram Abif was the same man as the King of Tyre, did he really want to reveal the secrets--- and if the men knew he was the King, what would have changed? What would of occurred and why was this held a secret too? Then, we come to the three symbology in this story. Look how three was mentioned and as you read on, three’s will be very symbolic.—universally representing TRINITY. Hiram Abif was killed because he wouldn’t bow down to the three men and reveal what he knew. What were the holy secrets? And how and why did Masons and FreeMasons received this knowledge and no one else? Why this organization? They still incorporate symbols their system even today-why is that?

This story was now at a VERY mysterious place. I found many of our founding fathers were Free Masons. George Washington was so connected spiritually, it’s simply amazing. It’s a truly story that will evolve in time. Our founding fathers knew of the power of the ancients and incorporated symbols and teachings in most every thing they touched, even our currency. What does United States currency have to do with sacred symbology? And what does it affirm? Let’s now look at the dollar bill. What does the number 13 symbolize, as it’s repeated constantly? Anothony Girone points out on his website…

Jesus and the Twelve Apostles =13
Moses and the Twelve Tribes =13
Jason and the Twelve Argonauts =13
The Original Colonies =13

These are but a few examples, and if you examine the back of our dollar bill, you will see the number thirteen endlessly represented by obscure imagery.

For example:

1) Thirteen arrows that the "Eagle" is holding in its left talon
2) Thirteen leaves of the "olive branch" in the other talon
3) Thirteen olives in the olive branch
4) Thirteen stars above the "Eagles" head
5) Thirteen "tiers" to the Pyramid
6) Thirteen letters in "E PLURUBIS UNUM" (From many...one)
7) Thirteen letters in Annuit Coeptis (Announcing the Birth of...OR... A Favorable Undertaking)
8) Thirteen stripes and thirteen stars on the Escutcheon (shield) the "Eagle" is "holding"

Lets also note, Ben Franklin, John Hancock and 13 original members of Congress were Freemasons.

On Anthony Girone’s website he points something else out…

Washington took his first Presidential oath of office on a Bible borrowed from a Masonic Lodge in New York City which was administered by Chancellor Robert R. Livingston, Grand Master of Masons. In fact, on a monument commemorating George Washington's presidency it reads: "George Washington; Freemason and First President".

Wow! The Freemason monicker gets top billing (pun intended)! The symbology of the dollar bill was of deliberate design, and is resplendent with Egyptian/Masonic symbology.

And another interesting and important photograph on Anthony’s site which reveals more.

This is a print of George Washington laying the "cornerstone" of the United States Capitol, September 18, 1793. There is important Christian/Egyptian dogma here, as Christ maintains that he is the cornerstone of Christianity, and Gnostic Christian ethos maintains that this is a metaphor for the cornerstone of the Great Pyramid, a monument they believe was dedicated to the Christian god in the middle of Egypt. This painting was commissioned by the Supreme Council, 33 degrees (an important Masonic number as you will find out) Southern Jurisdiction, USA.

Now look at the three symbology, again.

Meanwhile, back to the number thirteen...

"Since the date, 1776, is placed on the bottom course of the pyramid, and since the number 13 has been so important in the history of the United States and in the symbols of the seal, it is not unreasonable to suppose that the thirteen courses of the pyramid may represent thirteen time-periods of thirteen years each." — Paul Foster Case, 1935

The legendary "Fugio" coins and currency, designed by Benjamin Franklin in 1776, depict a circle of thirteen interlocking rings surrounding the motto, "We Are One." This may explain the occurrence of that number on the Dollar Bill, as Mr. Franklin headed the "First Committee" that designed the first rendition of our currency. It should be noted that the number thirteen is thought to be a number of "transformation", according to experts in numerology and Freemasonry. It appears that the number 13 may represent the transformation from colonies to a united nation.

The entire quotation is as follows: ‘Novus Ordo Seclorum altered from Magnus Soeclorum Ordo, a mighty order of the ages born anew. Both the prophetic Virgin and Saturnian kingdoms now return. Now a new progeny is let down from the heavens. Favor, chaste Lucina, the boy soon to be born in whom the Iron Age shall come to an end, and the golden one shall arise again in the whole earth.’"

Please read the Fatima update and research. Click here Interesting, we are heading for the golden age on 2012. And very interesting, the boy, Lucina, (look at above paragraph) a name close to Sister Lucia’s name, the last Fatima witness who passed on Feb 13th, 2005

The most profound miracle at Fatima was the Miracle of the Sun. Mary had told the children that she would perform a miracle in hopes that the skeptics would believe in the apparitions. www.fatimacandle.com

Amen

It is interesting to note that the word 'amen' is the value 99 in Greek numerals and appears in the Bible (Old and New testament) 99 times [1]. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

In Judaism, it is taught that the word Amen is an acronym for A[l] (or El), Me[lech], N[e'eman] meaning "Lord (or God), King, [who is] Trustworthy." It is related to the Hebrew word emuna or "faith" with the same lingiustic root, implying that one is affirming with, and of, "the faith" of Judaism (and its belief in Monotheism).

Among certain Gnostic sects Amen became the name of an angel.

In Revelation 3:14, Jesus calls himself, "the Amen, the faithful and true witness

Amen, It comes from the Hebrew word "emunah" meaning faith, trust, commitment.

The Hindus called him Krishna; the Chinese, Kioun-tse; the Persians, Sosiosch; the Chaldeans, Dhouvanai; the Egyptians, Horus; Plato, Love; the Scandinavians, Balder; the Christians, Jesus; Masons, Hiram

Masonry is UNIVERSAL and recognizes no CREEDS, taking truth wherever it is found. That Jesus, the man, lived is conceded by even a vast majority of non-Christian creeds, the Jew acknowledges him to have been a Great Teacher. Some Christian creeds declare him to have been "conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary," others refuse this dogma, attribute to him no supernatural birth and claim he "achieved Christ-hood." Mystical teaching largely agrees with this latter thesis and points to him as a "prototype" of the perfect man - the goal toward which the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE is evolving. We are here referring to the Master strictly in that sense - one who has Mastered himself in the fullest sense of the expression.

The Lost Word Its Hidden Meaning, p. 7

http://www.ephesians5-11.org/hiram.htmnow, let's look at the bottom portion: "Novus Ordo Seclorum." The meaning of this phrase is given to us in Spenser's book through a quote from C. A. L. Totten, a 1st Lieutenant in the 4th artillery of the U. S. Army, who communicated his views on the seal to Charles J. Folger, Secretary of the Treasury, on February 10, 1882:

The All-Seeing Eye is one of the oldest hieroglyphics of the Deity. The triangle also is a cabalistic symbol of the most remote antiquity…

The descent of the mystic eye and triangle in the form of a capstone to this mysterious monument [the Great Pyramid of Gizeh] of all times and nations, is to us as a people most pregnant with significance. The motto, Novus Ordo Seclorum, is a quotation from the 4th Eclogue and was borrowed in turn by Virgil from the mystic Sybylline records.

The entire quotation is as follows: 'The last age of Cumaen song now comes. (Novus Ordo Seclorum altered from Magnus Soeclorum ordo), A mighty order of ages is born anew. Both the prophetic Virgin and Saturnian kingdoms now return. Now a new progeny is let down from the lofty heavens. Favor, chaste Lucina, the boy soon to be born in whom the iron age shall come to an end, and the golden one shall arise again in the whole earth'.

This passage is indeed quite revealing. What we learn is that "Novus Ordo Seclorum" does not mean "New World Order" as many conspiracy theorists would claim, but actually "A mighty order of ages is born anew." When we think of a mighty order of ages, we immediately think of the precessional cycle, comprising of the 2,160-year ages of the Zodiac. Then, if we think of this "mighty order of ages" as being "born anew," we could well expect that this would be signified by the ending of the entire cycle, which we are making a very strong argument here as being related to Ascension, or the Shift of the Ages.

But does this statement from the 4th Eclogue and Virgil back up the idea of such a shift? Read carefully.

The last age… now comes. A mighty order of ages is born anew… Now a new progeny is let down from the lofty heavens.

Exactly what is this new progeny? A new life, a rebirth, an entire group of Ascended human beings? It certainly would appear to be that way, in the same sense that the Cayce Readings said that we are about to form the fifth "root race."

We then go on to read the statement,

The boy soon to be born in whom the iron age shall come to an end, and the golden one shall arise again in the whole earth.

Since we could certainly argue that we are still in an "age of iron" and machines even now, it is not hard to see that this passage refers to the end of our own age and the beginning of the New Age, an age of light or "enlightenment."

Furthermore, the fourth-density souls are indicated here as looking "golden." There are numerous spiritual sources that attest to the fact that this is indeed how an Ascended being would look, the most obvious being the Bible indicating the appearance of the Ascended Christ. Now, with a source of guidance such as the Cayce Readings, we can see a comprehensive study of the true meaning of the Christ Spirit, which is that Divine spark within each person. The Second Coming of Christ is actually the rebirth of this Christ Self within each individual entity, and the Shift of the Ages represents the "completion" of the same curriculum that Jesus patterned for us. So, this notion of the "golden one" arising in the whole earth certainly could be an Ascension metaphor.

Perhaps what is even more interesting is that this passage suggests that extraterrestrial forces are involved in all of this as well. "Both the prophetic Virgin and Saturnian kingdoms now return." We are told in Spenser's book that Saturn was the father of Osiris, and that the All-Seeing Eye is the symbol of Osiris. As this was the highest god in the Egyptian pantheon, we can certainly wonder if there might be an extra-terrestrial connection to all of this.

There are many more references but for some odd reason, I lost them. I will add to these when I can research more.
