What Is the Main
Benefit of Meditation?
Once you have started to control your mind and
are able to focus more often on the present moment, many unconscious thoughts
and emotions will start to surface for healing.
The way these thoughts and feelings are healed is by your consciousness of them.
As it was once said, the light casts out the darkness.
When your mind is very busy all day long just churning and churning, this keeps
all your suppressed negative energy buried deep down in the unconscious. Your
constant thinking is like a lid on a jar. Remove the lid and everything will
rise up out of the jar.
One of the main benefits of meditation is it slows your thoughts down allowing
deep and undesirable negative emotions to come to the surface. Do not be afraid
of them. These negative emotions were scary because they were in the darkness of
your mind.
A child wont look under the bed in the night because they fear a monster is
under there. The remedy is to turn the light on and you will see that there is
nothing there. Once brought to the light of consciousness, you will see they
were nothing but a figment of your imagination.
