Wisdom of the Hand and Palm Chakra
As we continue to research the wisdom of the
hand and the palm, we’re amazed what we’ve been led to…read on…
THE HAND
In an incredibly small space, tendons,
muscles, nerves, veins and arteries are packed as close as sardines in a tin.
Sir Charles Bell wrote: "And we must confess that it is in the human hand
that we have the consummation of all perfection as an instrument!"
With the eye, the hand is our main source of
contact with the physical environment. Touch is the
function of the hand. The hand has advantages as it can observe the environment
by means of touch. Having observed it, it can do something about it. Hands are a
part of our communication system, not only words but also emotions and ideas.
There are three types of lines that can be
distinguished in the hand, flexture lines, tension lines (Langer’ lines) and
papillary ridges. Flexure lines are in effect skin
hinges that open and close during grasping and gripping, following movements of
the underlying joints. The flexture lines are permanent creases. They
are like folds that develop in a well-worn jacket across the elbow region.
Flexure lines define the principal axes of
movements of the hand. There are also a number of subsidiary flexture creases
that vary in position in individual hands; subsidiary creases take up the excess
skin that balloons when the digits are folded.
The infinite variety of primary and
subsidiary flexture lines is a source of great satisfaction to professional
palmists whose living is there by guaranteed. There is no scientific support for
the idea that palmar creases have any psychic or predictive meaning but it is
well known that hands show evidence of occupation, disease, and to some extent
temperament, personality and lots of other amazing
information.
Professor J.D.Lever writes in 1963:
"In spite of the skeptics (in Roman times) palmistry was
considered a worthy subject for the study by the intellectuals. It
isn’t surprising that with such high level endorsement the ancient art has
openly flourished in every age."
The most conspicuous horizontal creases in
the palm is the "heart line." The vertical line nearest the thumb is
called the line of life by palmists and is the first to develop in an embryo.
Think about this? The second vertical line, which splits the palm into ulnar and
radical segments, is the so-called line of destiny.
Interesting, there are usually 2 bracelet
creases at the wrist. Wearing the Sacred Journey Bead Circlets are powerful in
itself. We created the Circlets using
the ancient symbol of the circle. Is the center of
the palm part of the circle symbology? Read more about the circle listed
under our Sacred Journey Beads research page.
By far the greatest concentration of sweat
glands occurs in the palm of the hand and the sole of the foot. Although sweat
glands of the hands are structurally identical with the glands elsewhere in the
body, they have a slightly different developmental history; furthermore, they
cease activity during sleep and they respond NOT TO THERMAL BUT TO PHYCHIC
STIMULI under stress, a function mediated by
hormones.

The Right and Left Hand…
The right hand has been said to show
uniqueness related to public activities such as dealing with friends and
co-workers etc. It points out how you want to be perceived in the world.
The left hand is more about your personal
life, interaction with friends and family. It shows more of who you really are
and your gifts and talents.
Projective and Receptive Energies
We have projective and receptive energies.
Each must be balanced to be healthy. They’re manifestations of the purest
forms of the universal energies that created everything. They have many symbols.
In religion, they are known as God and Goddess. In astronomy, the sun and the
moon. In humans, male and female, Yin and Yang. These powers are everywhere
within the Universe. They are present in our planet and in us. Symbolically
speaking, this is why we can produce either sex.
As over abundance of projective energy makes
for irritability, aggressive, angry and overly analytical. Health wise, this
imbalance can lead to ulcers, headaches, high blood pressure and other maladies.
Too much receptive energy creates moodiness,
lethargy, depression, disinterest and a shutting out of the physical world.
Other possible problems are nightmares, clinging love, lack of employment and
depressed immune system response and hypochondria.
When you notice an imbalance in your energy
make-up, carry or wear stones of the opporite type to bring that force into
play.
Projective stones are those, which are
bright, outward, aggressive and electrical. They possess strong energies, which
deflect evil, over come interia and create movement.
Projective stones have been said to help
destroy disease, strengthens the conscious mind and imbue the wearer with
courage and determination. They are used to promote physical energy, attract
luck and bring success. Projecting stones contact the conscious mind. Projective
stones are associated with the Sun, Mercury, Mars, Uranus and the elements of
Fire and Air. They are also related to the stars and simply distant suns.
Receptive stones are the natural compliment
of projective stones. They are soothing, calming inward and magnetic promoting
mysticism. They create peace.
These stones are said to promote
communication between conscious and subconscious minds, allowing intuitive
awareness to blossom. Scott Cunningham and many others also have written that
they radiate energies that attract love, money, healing and friendship.
Receptive stones are often used for grounding purposes, to stabilize and
reaffirm our earth roots.

Palm Chakra
For eons, healers have had knowledge of the
palm chakra and its healing capabilities. The palm chakra is a sensor and a channel for healing.
The palm chakra when used with the highest and purest intention/prayer, love and light w/
angel guidance and or God source will create miracles.
Place Sacred Journey Bead Circlets around
your wrist holding the pendant in the palm chakra.
