Several years ago, a friend and I met for dinner. During our
conversation, she told me of a story that virtually changed my life.
Angela proceeded to share, one evening, another girlfriend came
to her home for dinner and admired an expensive painting on her wall. Angela
said to her, "If you like this, its yours."
Shocked by the response, Angela’s friend told her that she was
admiring the painting and almost apologized for the compliment. Angela insisted
that her friend to accept this gift. By this time, I was intrigued, as I’ve
never heard of anyone offering this sort of gift to someone. Angela continued…"
Annie, your friendship means the world to me and I want to gift this to you if
you’ll accept it?"
By this time, I’m at the edge of my seat. Years ago, I was far
from the letting go point of my life. I had one life changing experience,
of letting something go, but I lost it, I didn’t give it away. The
Universe has ways to push us to another level of growth.
I went home that evening and for the next few months, I began my
letting go process. I went through my home and said--.."OK, can I let go of
this, or that?" Most things, no problem, a few possessions, I couldn’t. I
thought about this and realized it could be taken, burned, it could break or I
could die and I still wouldn't have it—SO-- why am I holding on to this
THING?"
As months passed I had a new understanding and different
acceptance level of taking baby steps toward letting go---this experience
changed my life. I still have some feelings about holding on to a few things but
in the scheme of things; it doesn’t have the hold I allowed, in the past.
When we die, we take nothing.. Things are here to help us
ultimately let go of those we love and finally our own death… We’re in the
age of getting rid of—things-- we don’t need, use etc. Our purchases in the
future, will be thought out and thought about.
Two years ago, I told a few people; I predict that our second
hand stores will be over flowing with STUFF. Many people will begin to get rid
of things they’re tired of storing, cluttering their SPACE. For the last few
months, all the second hand outlets around me are not accepting any STUFF.
Sacred Journey Bead Circlets are gifts we encourage
people to pass to another in need, during an inspired moment. Please don’t
place in a drawer/shelf/box and forget it's there. Please pass this on to your
customers…
Kindest wishes,
